6. Hans Adam II, Prince Of Liechtenstein ($3.5 Billion)
Hans Adam II assumed the role of Prince after his parents died in 1989. The country is rather small, but very wealthy and as prince, he was put in charge of the LGT banking group. He earned four billion from that, but he inherited a great deal of money as well.
He has given up most of his power to his son to ensure a smooth succession process.
