Why is there such a big distance between the father, the mother, and the son? Why are they keeping to themselves? Was there tension in the family in that particular year? Or, are they simply respecting each other´s personal space? Or, is it entirely the photographer´s idea to set them apart? So many questions left begging to be answered.
