Dawn O’Porter and Chris O'Dowd - Second son

Christoher O’Dowd is an Irish actor, 37-year old and is best known for his role as Roy Trenneman in the Channel 4 comedy The IT Crowd. Chris created and featured in Sky 1 Channel TV series Moone Boy. His wife, Dawn O’Porter, 38, is a British writer and television presenter. Some of her latest books are Paper Aeroplanes, Paper Airlines, and Goose. The couple first met on Dawn’s 30th birthday in Los Angeles in 2009 and got engaged in 2011.

They got married in 2012 and welcomed their first son, Art, in January 2015.

The television presenter announced on Instagram the birth of her son with a photo of him in a duckling onsie. She wrote – Happy to announce I am the proud owner of this chirpy little chap. Born July 1st, his name is Valentine O’Porter, and he is so delicious. Two sons, my goodness. The Moone Boy actor shared the same image as his wife and captioned it – We had a baby boy last week. Woohoo! His nappy expenses are ridiculous, so this baby is going ‘Cheep’. #DadJoke #Valentine. The couple hasn’t shown the face of the baby yet.

O’Porter responded to O’Dowd’s post saying, so cute, happy for you. All the way throughout her pregnancy, Dawn has been sharing snaps of her pregnant belly with everyone on social media. On June 12th, O’Porter posted a photo of her belly and captioned it saying, “when you are heavily pregnant and decide to steam clean all your furniture then can’t move your hips so lie down and your husband brings you a ham, cheese and onion sandwich with a side of veggie chips because he knows what makes everything better again.”

The couple had announced their first pregnancy using the Ice Bucket challenge, back in 2014. In a video posted by Chris on Twitter, he splashes water on Dawn’s tummy and says that he’d like to nominate his unborn child O’Porter for the challenge. Dawn sportingly pours a glass of water on her tummy.

It would be so fun to be around such creative and quirky parents.
